Landis & Gyr Stiftung Residency
Lydia Zimmer studied Applied Cultural Sciences and Cultural Management. She worked with the Literaturhaus Basel, the Schwabe Verlag, and Baobab Books, before founding Literaturecho in 2014.
Literaturecho is a forum to mediate between readers from different generations and books from all over the world. Lydia designs, organizes, and manages projects surrounding each book. She is the founder of Die Welt lessen (Reading the world) – a book club with 150 active members who read and review a book from a different country every month. A community that connects their reading experience with their own living environment has emerged through this project.
In addition to this, Lydia carries out commissioned work for publishers and institutions. Her current focus is facilitating bookshops and literary institutions to become future-proof online.
