Landis & Gyr Stiftung Residency
Esther Eppstein is an artist and curator from Switzerland.
In 1996, Esther founded ‘Message Salon’, an artist run space in Zurich. She defines her artistic practice as 'the salon'; the coming together of different people in the context of art, the networking of creatives from various directions, and the setting and documentation of exhibitions and events.
In 2015, Esther converted the art space into an artist’s residency called ‘Message Salon Embassy’, inviting international artists to spend time in Zurich and find inspiration for their art. Esther facilitates her artists’ in residence forging of contacts and encounters with the local art scene, and with arts mediators in institutions and galleries, creating new connections and friendships.
